Hungry Bird

The parrot flew slowly down the flyover Surapati. He was completely starved and exhausted. He had been flying high since three days ago from the cleanest city, Singapore. Parrot’s dad told an interesting news about food. He said that brother, sister, cousin can get delicious food in Bandung. The Great Singapore has become squeaky clean, so it was hard for the parrot to get delicious food, because businessman, driver, police and many people put their trash in the right place. Because of that, the hungry parrot decided to move to a new city, city where the society and full of hope for a long life. And when parrot arrived, he was awed because how people threw their food everywhere. So parrot didn’t need worry because he could eat delicious food anytime, anywhere he wanted. At the end parrot chose a cool place for a nest. A fresh place called home.

Hungry Eagle

The eagle flew fast down the highway. Hoping to find something to eat, he had been flying for three days from Singapore. The phoenix, his ex-neighbor, told him a very good news last week. He said that everybody can get any food they want in Bandung, anytime. The Merlion city he was from has become disgustingly clean. All of the citizens don’t throw their trash along the street like they used to. The eagle couldn’t live there anymore. If he stayed, he will die soon. So he decided to fly down to Bandung. A Heaven of food. When the parrot arrived, he was so freaking excited because people threw their food everywhere. He could eat anytime and anywhere so that he thought he was going to be an obese bird. Finally he chose a good spot in a tree for a nest. A place called home…

Hungry Woodpecker

            The woodpecker flew slowly down the crowded street. He was completely starving and exhausted. He had been flying high since forever from the greatest city of Singapore. The Indonesian bird told him the hot news, especially for hungry bird like him, everybody can get free delicious food on every street in Bandung. Singapore, hungry bird’s hometown, has become horribly clean because the society put their unneeded things in the trash bin. Because of that, it was very difficult to find the basic necessary. The woodpecker couldn’t find the heart to live there anymore, so he decided to make Bandung his home, a new beautiful and delicious city, full of dream. When the woodpecker put his first claw, he was so amazed because the human threw their food freely everywhere they wanted. He could enjoy eating anytime, anywhere he pleased, so he chose a comfortable spot for a nest, that he called home.

Hungry Dove

The beautiful white dove flew slowly down the lonely road. He hasn’t eaten and it made him starving and exhausted, since he had been flying for three days from Singapore and didn’t find any food on his way. But he got great news when he was flying through the highway. A very experienced eagle who had traveled around the world told him that every birds can get all kind of food in the capital city of West Java in Indonesia, which is Bandung. These days, compared to Bandung which still has a lot of trees on the roads, the small country between Indonesia and Malaysia had become super clean and too orderly. People are extremely neat and tidy, they put their trash in the trash bin and it made the birds couldn’t get the food easily. So, this hopeless dove decided to move to the city where people put their trash everywhere but the trash bin. Now, the hungry bird can eat any food, anytime, anywhere he’s hungry. Finally, he found an amazing place for a nest that he called home.

Hungry Bird- Boring Version

Hammersmith (GE-level 4) did a very good job today. We were learning how to write powerful and interesting sentences. It all started with this following super boring story about a bird who emigrated from Singapore to Bandung. Students in Hammersmith turned the story around and making it more interesting to read. Enjoy!
